“No Woman, No Drive”: a parody to defending Saudi women driving

Saudi actor Hisham Fageeh hijacked the famous Bob Marley song ‘No Woman, No Cry’ to support the claims of Saudi women who want the right to drive. Within days, the video was a great success on the web.

To fight against injustice, better to laugh; this is the  way that has chosen the young ” artist and activist ” Hisham Fageeh diverting tube Bob Marley ‘No Woman, No Cry’ . The short video, ” which mocks the law of [Saudi] kingdom prohibiting women from driving has become viral ,” notes the site information Now. More than 6.8 million people have watched the song.

” Remember when you used to sit in the family car, but in the back seat ,” sings Fageeh , wearing the traditional Saudi dress. The actor also mocks about a Saudi cleric , who argued that driving could cause damage to the ovaries and cause ” clinical disorder ” in their children. ” The ovaries are doing well, so you can make lots of babies,” retorted Fageeh .
