The EU Delegation to Egypt and EU Member States have recently launched a Facebook page to showcase various European cultural activities and events they are partnering in Egypt.
A total of 34 European embassies and cultural centres are participating in this platform with diverse activities: movie screenings, art festivals, galleries, music, and heritage.
Among others, the EU is funding a project called “Support to Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt” with a contribution of 3 million euro. This is the first- bilateral programme in the field of culture in the Mediterranean region. The project focusses on modern cultural expressions and builds on the direct cooperation with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as well as through grants to cultural operators.
The EU is constantly supporting cultural institutions interested in promoting social inclusion and encouraging the diversity of cultural and artistic expressions in Egypt. Click here to visit Facebook page.
